Communique Wines

At Pete Hewitt Woodwork, we crafted the bespoke interior woodwork for Communique Wines, a beautifully curated wine shop in Stockbridge, Edinburgh. The goal was to create a space that felt warm, functional, and visually refined, with carefully selected ash wood bringing character and cohesion to the design.

The shelving, made from ash and ash veneer, extends from floor to ceiling, providing ample storage while maintaining an open and inviting atmosphere. To ensure a clean and uncluttered look, we integrated ticket rails directly into the facing strips, eliminating the need for plastic holders. In addition to the shelving, we designed and built specialised wine display units, allowing for an elegant yet practical presentation of the shop’s collection. A custom tasting bar was also crafted, offering a dedicated space for customers to explore and enjoy wines. Every element was carefully considered, with tailored storage solutions maximising space efficiency without compromising on aesthetics.

This project reflects our dedication to precision, simplicity, and timeless craftsmanship, resulting in an interior that seamlessly blends form and function. Communique Wines is a space designed for discovery, and we’re proud to have played a key role in bringing it to life.
