Summerside Playroom

My clients commissioned this piece of furniture to go in their kids playroom so that their toys could be easily tidied away, allowing the room to become a more adult friendly space.

Due to the size of it (3×2 metres and almost a metre deep) the unit had to be built within the room. It was so heavy, that it needed 5 people to lift it upright and into the alcove where it is situated.

The playroom furniture is made from birch plywood with a solid wood front edge. The open shelves have been painted Oval Room Blue, from Farrow & Ball’s range.
